EasyEmojis - an app for the Root platform

1. About this App
EasyEmojis is an independent app built for the Root platform. It lets members scroll through a selection of emojis, download them, and upload their own to climb the leaderboard. It works together with the website rootemojis.com, where your uploads also show up under your account.
This app is not operated by Root Communications, Inc. Any data processed by the Root platform itself is covered by Root's own privacy policy.
2. Data We Process
When you use EasyEmojis, the following data may be processed:

EasyEmojis does not collect email addresses, location data, payment information, or contacts.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used only to:
- display emojis, uploader names and the leaderboard
- review uploads before they are made public
- keep the app secure and working properly
- fix bugs and improve the app
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or tracking.
Emojis you upload are shown together with your display name and can be seen by everyone who uses EasyEmojis or rootemojis.com. Please keep this in mind before uploading an image.
4. Storage
All app data is stored via the Root platform. We take reasonable measures to protect it against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
5. Sharing
We never sell your data. It is only shared:
- with Root Communications, Inc., since the app runs on the Root platform
- if required by law
6. Data Retention
- Uploaded emojis are kept for as long as EasyEmojis is in use, unless they are deleted by the author or a moderator.
- Deleted emojis are permanently removed within 30 days.
- If EasyEmojis is removed from a community, all related data is deleted within 30 days.
- Error logs are deleted after 14 days at the latest.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. under the GDPR in the EU), you may have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you
- correct inaccurate data
- delete your data
- restrict or object to processing
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw consent at any time
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
You can unlink your account at any time. For all other requests, contact the developer through EasyEmojis' page in the Root Store.
8. Children
Use of Root requires meeting Root's minimum age requirements. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe this has happened, please contact us.
9. Changes
We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The current version is always available at this link.
